As a complete surprise event I was able to play a new (at least for me) wargame Tomorrow's War. Yes I know it should not be a surprise for a normal person who knows the event program two weeks up front but there are some people that never read the manual :P.
Scenariusz wprowadzający poprowadzony przez Wokoosha i Thomasa symulował atak sil Europejskich na Japońską stację terraformacyjną. Celem agresora było wyłączenie 3 ( a może 2 albo 4?) wieży energetycznych odprowadzających napięcie elektryczne do atmosfery
The goal of the introductory scenario prepared by Wokoosh and Thomas was based on European forces attacking a Japanese terraforming station. The Invaders target was to shut down 3 (or maybe 2 or 4?) energy towers responsible for discharging the voltage into the atmosphere.
After shutting the tower down he would be able to call in air strikes thus increasing his firepower.
W tym scenariuszu dowództwo agresorami objął Brathac natomiast ja poprowadziłem siły obrońców.
In this scenario Brathac took the role of the evil aggressor and I was in charge of the heroic defense.

| Okrążenie Siege |
| Desperacka obrona Desperate defense |
As you probably figured out I was able to win.
Przeprowadzenie skutecznej obrony i zmasakrowanie Brathacowych agresorów zajęło nam jeśli dobrze pamiętam około godziny jeśli to standard w tym systemie to jest to duży plus.
Conducting a successful defence and massacring Brathacs aggressors took us about an hour, if this is a standard play time for this system than that is a big advantage.
General impressions after the game:
It was a good game but the system did not win my heart, rules for calculating attack/defense are pretty similar to Stargrunt which I played some time ago. The reaction mechanics seems to be taken straight from TwoHourWargames but is strangely limited to only one reaction per turn.
This limitation might lead to strange situations where a unit can react to one enemy running just in front of them but will do nothing against a second enemy squad taking the same route. Personally I find this limitation "synthetic" and without consequence (if they can react why not react all the time).
I would like to thank you the event organizers for the opportunity of testing a system that I was thinking about.
