Gaslands Savage Highways #1


Verney riggers a medium range monster mash team!
Two cars with front mounted rockets a car and a buggy with front mounted HMG all of them with an additional gyro upgrade!

The War Rig is a nasty medium range monster with:
 an improvised Sludge thrower, mines, caltrops, oil, smoke, gyroscope, RC car bombs, front mounted HMG and front mounted ram.

The special car upgrade for this game was the fuel pump - it can only be destroyed by a ram attack to the rear.
For those of you who do not know this campaign format: the gangers need to destroy the rig while the rig needs to reach the other side of the board!
As a bonus the Rig can NOT be destroyed as long as it has the special upgrade!


Rutheford snipers! Tank + cannon and 3x jeep with double minigun and perks making it easier to hit on longer distances!

First turn not that much interesting, Rutheford boyz move forward


so do the verney riggers. The barricades set up by the gangers were very well placed  and impacted the riggers route quite a lot!









First cars reach the barricades



Each car is hit for 1 damage, not much but it's a start!



Rutheford pushes it to the limit using a clever slide/spin combo



The tank fails its skid dice throw! Pushing it actually makes the situation even worse! The monstrocity flips and drops to gear one which means it will not fire it's gun in this turn!

The rig passes through the barricade, drops some smoke, oil and remote controlled car bomb


A bit of a bad maneuver on Slugs side turns into some frantic driving and hard turns to avoid a head on collision. Thank luck for the gyroscope random upgrade!


Rutheford activates, colides with the RC car which explodes. Along with the oil the car flips and heads straight on into the war rig which blasts it 



A second ganger is just about to activate so I decide to do a little bit of dangerous driving! I force White noise to wipe out (another superb usage of the gyro perk!), fail the flip check and ram into the bastard to block him ramming the war rig.


Quite unexpectidly the ramming goes so good that the rutheford gangster is completely eliminated!


Two down two to go!


I need to move, and I need to move fast! My options are either veer out of the way of White noise and go through some trecherous terrain and oil, which would end up gaining too much hazard tokens and the risk of a wipeout, or go through my vehicle.

How bad could it be, I mean I rolled pretty badly thus far...


16 points of damage! White noise is completely eliminated from the game! You will be missed!



New turn and the gangers continue their relentless assault

The tank spins forward and fires at the black blaze trying to eliminate all of the war rig support cars

A direct hit from a tank cannon is too much for black blaze. It rolls forward and is wrecked!


Panzer enthusiasm is always something nice to watch!

As a repercussion I drop mines caltrops and rc car bombs.

All the onslaught and explosions are actually able to eliminate the tank! The way to safety is clear!!
That is untill the tank respawns and does a head to head ram on the rig.

The Rig wipes out. Its support is eother dead or too far away!

The tank rams into the back of the war rig destroying the fuel pump. The last thing that kept the truck running (it had 0 ho for quite some time because of all the shooting). Just a few meters away from safety. 

Gangers win the first round. Never laugh at a tank, even when it flips on turn one!
