Epic Armageddon Battle Report

Wstęp / The begining

This is my first attempt of a multi language post as You are able to see the Polish part is written in normal text and the English in italic hope You will like my repport and visit me again some time :)

Pierwsza naprawdę Epicka bitwa między siłami Space Marines a Adeptus Mechanicus.
Próg punktowy 3000ptk.
Multum błędów, przeoczeń i głupich pomyłek po obu stronach ale zabawa i tak przednia.

The first realy Epic battle between the Space Marines and the Adeptus Mechanicus
Army limit 3000pts.
A lot of errors, and stupid mistakes on both sides but still a great game.

Pole bitwy / The Battlefield 

Po pierwsze było za małe :P i teraz naprawdę to odczułem. Praktycznie nie miałem jak ustawić swoich jednostek aby nie stały jedne na drugich.

First of all it was too small :P and this time I really felt it. I had almost no options to position my units so that they did not stand on one another.

Multum otwartych przestrzeni. Okazuje się, że elementy terenu które przygotowałem są zdecydowanie za małe do tej gry. Nie chodzi tu o skalę w jakiej są stworzone bo ta jest idealnie dopasowana. Chodzi bardziej o to, że same elementy pomimo swojej mnogości nie dawały zbyt dużych możliwości ukrycia swoich oddziałów. Wniosek z tego taki, że muszę przygotować więcej dużych ruin budynków i dużo wyższe wzgórza.

Lots of open spaces. It turns out that the terrain features that I prepaired are deffinetly to small for this game. It's not about the scale in which they are created rather about the fact that despite their multitude they did not offer too much possibilities of hiding my troops. The conclusion is simple, I have to prepare more bigger ruins and higher hills.

Po stronie sług imperatora stanąłem Ja. Zdecydowałem się na armię piechoty zmotoryzowanej z mocnym wsparciem artyleryjskim wybór jak się szybko okazało nie do końca trafiony.

Jak już wspominałem Moim przeciwnikiem był Borsuk

As I mentioned my adversary was Borsuk:

Adeptus Mechanicus
2 x Super heavy tank detachment (6 tanks)
2 x Artillery detachment (6 bombards)
Reaver titan (laser blaster, gatling, vulcano) [Mad Cat]

Warlord Titan (gatling, plazma, vulcan, apocalypse) [Daishi]

Przebieg rozgrywki / The game

I

Pierwsza tura wygrałem inicjatywę i oddałem ja Borsukowi. Ten ruszył z kopyta bombardami i wpakował się  w ruiny gdzie jedna z nich nieszczęśliwym trafem zachaczyła o wystający dzwigar i utonęła pod lawiną opadającego gruzu. Nie ztrzymało to jednak sługusów imperatora przed ostrzelaniem moich whirlwindów i motocykli. W wyniku ostrzału wirniki dostały jeden blast marker a motory straciły jednostkę zyskując w sumie 2 markery.

First round I won the initiative and gave the first move to my enemy. Borsuk moved his right bombards (RB) into the ruins and failed a dangerous movement roll thus one of them was destroyed under a falling pile of rubble. That did not stop the emperors servants and they fired upon my formations of bikes and right whirlwinds (RW) killing one bike in the process.

Moja odpowiedź była błyskawiczna przesunąłem moje Whirlwindy pod krawędź pobliskiej góry i ostrzelałem agresora. Udało mi się zniszczyć jedną z nich a druga załamana podwinęła ogon i uciekła gdzie pieprz rośnie (czyli za pobliską górę).

My response was swift, I moved my whirlwinds (RW) near the hill and fired upon the bombards (RB). One of them died and the other one ran away in panic behind a nearby mountain.

Zaraz po tym przechwyciłem inicjatywę i wysunąłem swoje land speedery jako przynętę za ruiny znajdujące się na środku pola bitwy. Borsuk wpadł w moją pułapkę, ruszył swój drugi oddział bombard i ostrzelał speedery zabijając jednego z nich (jedynego na którego ulepszenie zabrakło punktów). Gdy tylko kości przestały się turlać i straty zostały obliczone i odjęte od aktualnego stanu przystąpiłem do zamknięcia pułapki! Ruszyłem swoje lewe whirlwindy (LW) na prawy bok pobliskiego lasu (zamiast "w las" co w krótkim czasem okazało się sporym błędem) i zasypałem niedawnego agresora świętym ogniem imperatora. Gniew imperatora dosięgnął 2 z 3 bombard obracając je w pył a trzecia tak zlękła się imperialnych orłów wygrawerowanych na czubkach spadających rakiet że uciekła pod swój krawędź pola walki i tam przerażona pozostała aż do samego końca bitwy.

After that I retained the initiative and moved my land speeders behind the ruins in the middle of the field as bait. Borsuk fell for my trap and moved his second bombards to fire at the speeders killing one of them. Once he finished I made my first mistake and moved my left whirlwinds (LW) to the side of the forest (instead of moving them into it) and flooded the left bombards with holy emperor fire. The emperors rage killed 2 out of 3 bombards turning them into dust and the last one was so terrified of the sight of emperor eagles on the incoming rockets it broke and fled to the very edge of the battlefield where it stayed to the end of the battle.

Borsuk nie planował pozostać mi dłużny, wykonał szybki ruch lewymi czołgami (LSHT) i ostrzelał moje lewe whirlwindy zabijając 2 z nich.

In response Borsuk moved his left super heavy tank (LSHT) company and fired upon my whirlwinds (LW) killing 2 of them.

"Bracie Malathir wróg jest na wyciągnięcie ręki pokaż im jaki jest los tych którzy powstają przeciw światłu imperatora!". Szybki desant dewastatorami na lewej flance wyładunek i ostrzelanie lewych czołgów w wyniku którego otrzymują kilka obrażeń

"Brother Malathir the enemy is  in your grasp show them what is the faith of those who rise against the emperors light!".I moved my devastator unit and fire upon the LSHT and damage two of the tanks.

Wrogi dowódca rusza do przodu formacją prawych czołgów i trafia w resztki lewych wirlwindów redukując stan oddziału do jednej jednostki(gdyby nie fakt że ostatnia wyrzutnia znajdowała się poza zasięgiem ostrzału najprawdopodobniej od razu zezłomował by cały oddział). Złamany oddział chowa się za lasem w poszukiwaniu osłony i wytchnienia.

The enemy commander moves his right tank formation and fires upon the remains of my left whirlwinds reducing the total detachment to one unit ( if it wasn't for the fact that the last one was out of range he would have probably eliminated the entire detachment). The broken squad flees behind the forest in a search for cover and respite.

W tym momencie Borsuk wykonuje ruch którego nie przewidziałem, pośpiesznie zmierza swoim reaverem w stronę brata Malathira w celu dokonania eliminacji oddziału!. Jednak światłość imperatora była w tej chwili po mojej stronie przez co tytanowi zabrakło dosłownie  5 metrów aby mógł wykorzystać swój arsenał śmierci

His red Reaver titan makes a dangerous move and tries to fire upon my devastators but (thanks to the emperors blessing of course) finds itself just a few meters outside of range and is unable to use his deadly arsenal.

Zachęcony rozwojem wydarzeń postanawiam wykonać szybkie uderzenie na prawe czołgi borsuka. Trzy czarne rihno mkną przez pobojowisko szybko wyładowują swój zabójczy ładunek (6 oddziałów tactical marines) po czym zasypują efektowną (ale niestety niezbyt efektywną) salwą rakiet dwa przednie czołgi zadając im w sumie 2 punkty obrażeń.

Encouraged by current events I decide to make a quick strike on the right tank company. Three black rihnos rush thru the battlefield quickly unload their deadly cargo (6 tactical space marines units) after that they flood with the tanks with a rocket salvo dealing two points of damage.

Warlordowi nie udaje się rzut na wykonanie rozkazu i jedyne co jest w stanie zrobić to przesunąć się za pobliskie ruiny aby uniknąć niepotrzebnego ostrzału.

His Green Warlord titan fails its initiative and decides to only move forward behind some ruined buildings

Na zakończenie rundy przegrupowałem motocykle aby usunąć niepotrzebne blast markery a tytanem ze względu na brak potencjalnych celów w zasięgu poszedłem w ślady Borsuka i schowałem go za pobliskimi ruinami.


As my last actions, I decide that my bikes will regrou and since my Reaver does not have any valid targets I decide to do the same as Borsuks Warlord and move behind nearby ruins.

II

Od tego momentu nie pamiętam dokładnie co się działo więc opis będzie ograniczony.

From this moment my memory is not so sharp so the description will not be as wide as before

Devastatorzy strzelają w lewe czołgi. Jeden z kolosów zamienia się w płonącą kupę metalu a inny otrzymuje znaczące trafienie.W wyniku ostrzału oddział zostaje złamany i wycofuje się nieznacznie.

Devastators fire on the left tanks. One of the steel giants turns into a burning pile of junk ant another one suffers a significant hit. Because of these actions the squad becomes broken and retreats a few meters backwards.

Czerwony tytan rusza do przodu i zabija 4 dewastatorów. Złamane rihno uciekają za las

Enemy Reaver moves forward and kills all 4 devastators. Their broken rihnos flee behind the woods.

Ostrzał z prawych wirników w złamane lewe czołgi owocuje zniszczeniem drugiego czołgu.

An artillery barrage from my rigth whirlwinds destroys one of the broken left tanks.

Prawe czołgi strzelają w tacticali zabijając 3 marinsów i 2 rihno pozostałe jednostki uciekają za ruiny w stronę mojej krawędzi

The right tanks fire on mt tactical killing 3 marines and 2 rihnos. The remaining units flee behind the ruins located in the middle of the battlefield.

Odpowiadam land speederami , lekkie przesunięcie za bliższe ruiny, ostrzał i zadaję 2 obrażenia lewym czołgom

I retaliate with my land speeders a sligth movement towards the left tanks and do 2 damage to the left tanks.

Mój reaver strzela we wrogiego zdejmując mu dwa void shieldy. Ostatni ruch to pęd motocyklami do przodu.

My reaver shoots at the enemy reaver and takes two of his void shields.

The final move is a double movement with my bikes straight forward.

III

Wygrywam inicjatywę i szarżuję motocyklami w czołgi borsuka. Piękny assault w wyniku którego nie tracę żadnego motocykla a niszczę 2 z 3 czołgów, formacja zostaje złamana i ostatni ocalały czołg ucieka w panice.


I win the initiative and assault the left tanks with my bikes. A beautiful assault which results in no loses on my side and two killed tanks. The formation is broken and the last tank runs in panic.

Zielony tytan robi w tył zwrot i dosłownie anihiluje moje motocykle.

The green Warlord titan makes a turn and annihilates my bike squadron.

Czerwony tytan zabija ostatnich devastatorów i jednego rihno

The red titan kills a few of my tactical and one rihno.

Wirniki ostrzeliwują czerwonego tytana

My whirlwinds fire on the red Reaver but do no damage

IV

Do gry wchodzi pierwsza formacja terminatorów, teleport się nie powodzi więc zaczynają rozgrywkę z jednym blast markerem ale udało im się wylądować w kraterach tuż za Reaverem z tamtąd mają dokonać assaultu i zmieść go w proch! Jedyne co mogło popsuć mój plan to przegrana inicjatywa ... no i ze względu na źle naliczany bonus zostaje ona przegrana... Tytan odsuwa się i ostrzeliwuje mój oddział zabijając jedną jednostkę. Mimo strat kontynuuję swój plan ale przez złe rozliczanie (mój błąd) tracę cały oddział. pozostałymi. Moje pozostałe przy życiu jednostki kontynuują ostrzał czerwonego tytana niestety nie powodując większych szkód (a ze względu na mój kolejny błąd nie został on złamany )

My first terminator unit teleports (unsafely so 1 blast marker) in the craters behind the red Reaver from where they will attempt to perform an assault and crush him to dust! The only thing that could have gone wrong was me loosing the initiative … and because of a to high army initiative (my error again) I loose it. The titan moves and fires at the terminators killing one unit. Despite the losses the remaining terminators perform the assault but again because of bad assault calculation (my error) I lose the entire detachment without doing any damage (and because of bad FEARLESS ability understanding the titan will never be broken).

V

Drugi oddział terminatorów bezpiecznie teleportuje się do ruin i ostrzeliwuje pozostały czołg z prawej formacji nie czyniąc mu przy tym niestety zbytniej szkody poza złamaniem formacji i jej ucieczką  w róg pola bitwy



Second terminator unit safely teleports into the ruins and fires upon the last remaining heavy tank (RSHT). Unfortunately they do him no damage but still are able to break the formation.

Zielony tytan (Warlord) próbuje podjąć akcję ruchu i strzału jednak nie udaje mu się to więc stara się zbliżyć do moich terminatorów. Moje jednostki ponownie ostrzeliwują czerwonego tytana  zostawiając mu jeden punkt pancerza (i tak niestety miało pozostać do końca tej rozgrywki). A pod wpływem zmasowanego ognia z czerwonego tytana w końcu pada mój reaver.

The Green Warlord tries to move and fire but fails so can only move to the ruins taken by my terminators. My units again try to destroy the red Red Reaver leaving him with only one structure point. Under Red's fire my own Reaver falls.

Mniej więcej w tym momencie orientuje się że źle rozliczaliśmy ataki artyleryjskie na wszelkiej maści war engines i zamiast 1 kością powinienem był rzucać 3 za każdym razem (kolejny z moich genialnych błędów)

In this moment I figure out that the whole time we were calculating barage damage dealt to war engines in the wrong way so instead of throwing 3 dices when shooting at the Reaver I threw only one.

VI

Ruch i strzał resztkami formacji terminatorów aby wyeliminować ostatni czołg z prawej formacji niestety bez powodzenia. Tutaj nastąpiła chwila wahania czy przechwytywać inicjatywę ale (jakże błędnie) twierdziłem że nie ma takiej potrzeby. Borsuk wykonuje podwójny ruch i strzał na czymś co kiedyś było czerwonym reaverem a obecnie przypomina dziurawą kupę złomu  i roznosi w pył moje whirlwindy zanim te zdążą strzelić. W geście ostatecznej desperacji wykonuje ostrzał 2 jednostkami tacticali niestety bez skutku. Ostatnim moim ruchem było ruch i strzał ostatnim ocalałym whirlwindem w złom tytana jednak i to nie przyniosło pozytywnego rezultatu.

Movement and shot with my Terminator left overs in order to eliminate the last tank of the right formation, unfortunately without any success. In this moment I hesitated to retain the initiative and because (wrongly) decided that it is not necessary. Borsuk makes a double move and shoot with his reaver and decimates my right whirlwinds before they are able to do any damage. In a gesture of desperation I try to destroy the reaver with my last 2 tactical marines and after that with the one left whirlwind but nothing is able to kill that damn peace of junk.

W tym momencie stwierdziłem że dalsza rozgrywka nie ma większego sensu i oddaliłem się resztkami ocalałych jednostek w stronę zachodzącego słońca.

After final faliures I realiye that any further game is without any sense and retreat with the remains of my units twards the sun.
