First Underhill Battletech

Pierwszą bitwą jaką rozegrałem w nowym mieszkaniu było małe starcie w Battletecha na zasadach Quick Strike. Założeniami podczas konstruowania armii było jak najmniej proxowania oraz max 150 ptk na stronę

The first battle that was played in my new apartment was a Battletech quick strike battle.

The army creation rules were quite simple, a maximum of 150 pts per side and keep proxy to a minimum.

Borsuk zdecydował się wystawić siły klanowe ( gdyby nie cykada ilość klanowych mechów wynosiła by 100%) 

Widoczny na zdjęciu niebieski Stalker służy jako proxy za Daishi, reszta figurek jest tym na co wygląda ;) 

Borsuk decided to field heavy and assault Clan Mechs and a Cicada. The blue Stalker that you can see in this picture is a proxy for a Daishi ( I only have 2 figures and we needed 3)

Aby ze zwykłej potyczki uczynić grę bardziej flufową postanowiłem wybrać tylko jednostki sfery wewnętrznej a ponieważ stanąłem naprzeciw ciężkim klanowym mechom sam również wystawiłem sporo ciężkich jednostek ( wśród moich sił panowało 100% WYSIWYG).

To give this battle a bit more fluff I decided to field only Inner Sphere heavy / assault mechs. None of my units were proxied. 

Podczas wykładania terenu postanowiliśmy również urozmaicić rozgrywkę używając gratisu który wpadł ostatnio w moje ręce podczas wspólnych zakupów i tak z planowanej zwykłej bez ideowej naparzanki wykiełkował nam prosty acz przyjemny scenariusz. Prom zawierający kluczowe dane został zestrzelony i spadł w samo centrum miasta. Obie wojujące ze sobą frakcje chciały zdobyć transportowane dane aby wykorzystać je w walce z przeciwnikiem.  

During terain placement we decided to enrich our battle using a bonus that I got with my last batch shopping and thus out of a blood bath came a simple but ejoyable scenario. A  ferry carrying key data was shot down and fell in the city center. Both factions want to obtain the transported data to use them to fight the enemy 

Siły sferyczne przedzierają się przez skalisty teren.

Spherical forces make their way through the rocky terrain.

Podczas gdy siły klanowe wkraczają do miasta od drugiej strony.

While the Clan forces enter the city from the other side.

Pierwsze spotkanie nastąpiło na południowym krańcu miasta Victor, trebusz  i archer wpadli na Daishi i Mad Cata.

The first encounter took place on the south end of town. Victor, Trebuchet and Archer ran into a Daishi and a Mad Cat.

Chwilę później na północnym krańcu miasta rozgorzała regularna bitwa podczas której jeden z dwóch moich battlemasterów zaryzykował przejęcie promu i ostrzelanie Daishi z bliskiej odległości.

Moments later, at the northern end of town a regular battle broke out in which one of the two Battlemasters risked to take the ferry and fire at one Daishi at close range.

Drugi Battlemaster zajął pozycję tuż za pierwszym i osłaniał kolegę przed zajściem od tyłu.

The second Battlemaster took up a position just behind the first and secured him from any back shots.

Siły klanowe wykorzystały moją próbę zajęcia promu i przeszły za linię frontu ostrzeliwując jednostki sferyczne od tyłu. 

Clan forces used my attempt to secure the ferry. Went behind the front line and were able to shoot the spherical forces from behind.

Jak można się było spodziewać Battlemaster nie zdołał utrzymać się pod zmasowanym ostrzałem dwóch Daishi i padł, swym wrakiem blokując wyjście ludziom uwięzionym wewnątrz statku.

As you might expect the Battlemaster could not keep up in a massive firefight with two Daishi and fell, blocking the ferry exit and trapping all survivors inside

Chwilę później pod naporem ostrzału z południa pada również Warhammer

Moments later, under the pressure of southern Mech fire, the Warhammer also falls.

Walka wkracza na dystans tak bliski, że piloci poszczególnych maszyn są w stanie zobaczyć uśmiech na twarzy przeciwnika

The fight enters a distance so close that the pilots of the various machines are able to see the smile on the enemy faces.

Pod wpływem zmasowanego ostrzału pada jedno Daishi, zwycięstwo to jest jednak okupione sporymi stratami własnymi. Klany zdołały zestrzelić Trebusza i Maraudera oraz uszkodzić komputer celowniczy na Orionie

Under  massive fire one Daishi is destroyed, the victory is pretty large but paid with own losses. Clans  managed to shoot down Trebuchet and Marauder  and damage the targeting computer on Orion

Przegrana inicjatywa kończy się poważnymi kłopotami dla pilota Battlemastera.

Losing the initiative ends up in some serious trouble for the pilot Battlemaster.

Oraz zniszczeniem Cyklopa.

And the destruction of Cyclops.

Zielona Daishi wkracza do centrum miasta i może ostrzeliwać sferyczne siły zgromadzone na południu sama będąc podatna na ostrzał Victora.

The green Daishi enters the city center and can fire at the Spherical mechs gathered in the south itself being susceptible to fire from the Victor.

Klany niszczą ostatniego z Battlemasterów lecz same tracą przy tym zielone Daishi.

Clans destroy the last Battlemaster but at the same time loose their green Daishi.

Archer wykorzystuje częściową osłonę jaką oferuje pobliski biurowiec i zasypuje rakietami Mad Cata.

Archer uses the partial cover offered by a nearby office building and floods one of the Mad Cats with rockets.

Katapulta i Orion wsiadają na plecy ostatniego Daishi...

Catapult and Orion get on the back of the last Daishi ...

I dzięki połączonej sile ogniowej są  w stanie położyć go trupem.

And thanks to the combined power of fire they can put it dead

W ostatnich momentach walka koncentruje się  wokół niskiego budynku przemysłowego.

In the last moments the fight revolves around the low industrial building.

Następuje trwająca ułamek sekundy cisza a zaraz po niej kanonada z wszystkich pozostałych przy życiu mechów. Archer i Victor niszczą oba pozostałe Mad Caty, Cykada oddaje ostatni strzał w mocno pokiereszowanego Oriona i niszczy ciężką maszynę po czym  ratuje się ucieczką. Zwycięstwo należy do sił Sfery.

All of the surviving mechs pause for a moment and after that perform a huge cannonade. Archer and Victor destroy the last two Mad Cats, Cicada fires a last shot at the crippled Orion, destroys the heavy machine and then runs away as fast as it can. Victory belongs to the forces of the Sphere.

Cała bitwa przypominała mi bardziej grę w ganianego aniżeli walkę mechów, głównie ze względu na nieustanne stawanie plecami do ściany aby nie oberwać od tyłu ;) Ale podobała mi się mimo to :)

The whole battle reminded me more of a game of Tag rather than a Mech fight, mainly due to the constant standing with your back to the wall in order to not get hit from behind ;) Despite that I liked it :)
