Restarting the hobby summary streak! Had quite a few issues in my personal space that pulled me away for quite some time but I kind of like these posts as a way to "understand" what happened over the course of the year so decided to come back to them!
I Started 2025 without any kind of grand plan or anything. I'm not really sure if I'm going to be attending any conventions at all. Not because there aren't any, it's more of a:
"I'm not seeing any returns and the entire perspective of going onto conventions and fishing people out for demo games kind of lost it's charm"
kind of thing.
Anyway, January was quite productive as I was able to finish almost all of my work in progress projects!
Done
I also managed to get quite a few very good games which hyped me up just a little bit :)
All of those games already have written up reports available which is an interesting and really nice change!
In addition to the Corsairs I also admitted that while it is not my favorite game Legions Imperialis is the game I use my 6mm models the most for in the past few months (that thankfully changed, but no one knows what the future holds!)
In order to broaden my options - I currently am able to use only a single army without any options (and it's not a good army :D) I decided to at least test the paint scheme for some Tarantula sentry guns and Solar Auxilia with axes (they have a name, but at least for now I refuse to learn it!).

WIP
- One stand of 6mm Dark Eldar infantry
Dropped:
- One Enlisted artillery model.

Since I almost cleared my backlog I decided it was time to start something new. I just finished quite a lot of 6mm infantry and was quite sure that I do NOT want to paint infantry any time soon.
I was on the line between different Full Spectrum Dominance factions but decided to paint up a small corsair army (40 points).
I was on the line between different Full Spectrum Dominance factions but decided to paint up a small corsair army (40 points).
The original paint scheme is a lot of dark and grey which I can easily apply with my airbrush. Which sounds like my type of painting! It was also only four small mechs, one medium one and one small flying drone. 6 units in total sounds like something doable and usable at the same time.

So the total summary for the end of February is:
WIP:
WIP:
- One stand of 6mm Dark Eldar infantry
- Two Legions Imperialis Tarantulas
- One Corsair Albatros drone
- Two Corsair Narwhal Rigs
- Two Corsair "7 point" Rigs
- One Corsair "medium rig"
As for the future ... It might be more Full Spectrum Dominance, more Legions Imperialis or maybe some Gaslands? Not quite sure just yet!
